In the spring we make pine syrup after we harvest the new pine spruce. We use the syrup for Christmas cocktails because of the rich flavor or when we are sick.
My husband made a vodka pine flavor last year and he loved the idea. This year he is gone try again.
Go and have fun foraging the pine trees with your family. We did this year a photo shoot also. Imagine my little one asking for photos near the small trees. It was a great day to spend with my family.
Ingredients:
– 4 cups fresh pine spruce needles
– 8 Cups water
– 2 cup sugar
Directions:
In a saucepan combine the needles with water. Cook until liquid is reduced about 40 minutes. Stir the sugar until completely dissolved. Remove from the heat and let cool.
I replaced the sugar with honey. I liked it too.
Most of the recipes say to refrigerate for 1 month. I can tell you that I have syrup since 2 years ago and is great. I put them in small bottles.
My favorite drink is 2 teaspoons of syrup and ½ liter of water. In the summer make refreshment out of this cocktail with mint leaves, lemon and lots of ice.

The Khanda (Punjabiਖੰਡਾkhaṇḍā) is the symbol of the Sikh faith, that attained its current form around the first decade of the 20th century.[1]
It is an amalgam of three symbols:[2]
  • A double-edged khanda (sword) in the centre
  • chakkar (chakram)
  • Two single-edged swords, or kirpan, crossed at the bottom, which sit on either side of the khanda and chakkar. They represent the dual characteristics of Miri-Piri, indicating the integration of both spiritual and temporal sovereignty together and not treating them as two separate and distinct entities.[3]
It depicts the Sikh doctrine Deg Tegh Fateh in emblematic form. It consists of three weapons and a circle: the khanda, two kirpansand the chakkar which is a circle. It is the military emblem of the Sikhs. It is also part of the design of the Nishan Sahib. A double edged khanda (sword) is placed at the top of a Nishan Sahib flag as an ornament or finial.
In recent years, the Khanda has been used to show solidarity within the Sikh community after high profile shootings in the United States.[4]
Another symbol that may be confused with the Khanda is the aad chand (lit. "half moon") of the Nihang, which consists of a khandasword in the middle of a crescent, aligned with points upward.[5]
The symbol is encoded in Unicode, in the Miscellaneous Symbols range, at codepoint

It must have been my third day in Shanghai & the first time I had been alone in a foreign country. I decided I would spend the day around the things I love the most, airplanes. I had read about an aviation museum near Hongqiao International Airport, so I set out to find it.
I didn’t understand a word of Chinese & the concepts of subways & public busses were completely foreign to me. In hindsight, I should have paid attention when my friend explained the subway system to me. I should also point out that this particular day was cold & it was raining, the worst weather combination in my opinion.20170409_134433
I made my way to the closest metro station, got a few snacks & jumped on the first train that was headed in the right direction. I made it to Jing’an Temple & I had to change lines there. It seemed simple because there was only one other line at that station… maybe not simple enough. Perhaps I was overwhelmed by the culture shock or maybe it was my complete ignorance for public transport, either one, I got on the correct line going in the wrong direction.
About an hour & a half later, I arrived at the end of the line which happened to be Pudong International Airport. I realized I had made a mistake. I connected to the WIFI & reassessed how to get to the other airport. Slightly upset, I headed back to the metro & attempted to get to the other airport.
After a further two & a half hours, I got off the train at the station before Hongqiao in the hopes of being able to walk around & find the museum. It was cold & wet & I struggled to make my way around. I decided to go back to the metro, get to the airport, find some food & then try find the museum from that angle.
Due to some safety concern, the police weren’t letting non-passengers into the airport & from my understanding, you could only leave that area on the metro or in a car, not on foot. Being naïve & not knowing that these things happen while travelling, I was extremely upset & felt really emotional. I was hungry, dripping wet & shivering. The only shop in the metro station was a tea stand with a glass display case full of cakes & treats. I went there to buy some tea. Using a combination of charades & pointing, I stumbled my way through an order. I got my cup of tea & I went to pierce the plastic covering with a straw… Sploosh! The straw had gone through the whole cup. Piping hot tea all over my hand, down my arm, covering the entire display case & dripping into puddles on the floor.
I often think of how amusing it must have been for passers-by to see an awkward foreigner being shouted at by a tea vendor. I never did find that aviation museum. I also never got to taste that Oreo infused vanilla milk tea. I did, however, learn the importance of checking the weather forecast, double checking you are headed in the right direction(literally) & making sure you know exactly where you want to go, not just having a vague idea.

AS the OnePlus 6 nears its launch, speculation about the spec of the Chinese smartphone start-up’s latest Android device has reached fever pitch.

Now, an entry on the Chinese certification website TENAA may have given away all of the juicy details on the OnePlus 6.
The listing states that the new OnePlus phone will have a 6.28 inch AMOLED screen, FHD+ resolution and an even smaller notch than on the Apple iPhone X.
The TENAA record shows that the OnePlus 6 will have a resolution of 1080 by 2280 pixels, this will give a 19:9 aspect ratio.
The notch at the top of the edge-to-edge display on the OnePlus 6 is said to be just 19.6mm x 7.68mm big.
Meanwhile, the much-vaunted phone is, according to the TENAA record, set to come with 6GB of RAM as standard and 256GB of internal storage.
There is also expected to be another version with 8GB of RAM.
The OnePlus 6’s camera has been talked up by the manufacturers, and an innovative tie-in with Vogue India saw it create the first smartphone-shot cover of any Indian magazine.
It was also the first Vogue cover globally to use a smartphone camera.

The new phone will have a dual-camera configuration on its rear, comprised of 20MP and a 16MP camera, along with a 16MP front-facing camera.

The OnePlus 6 will challenge Apple and Samsung once again
For instance it states that the OnePlus 6 will run on an octa-core processor, namely the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845, and that the phone will run Oxygen OS based on the Android 8.1 Oreo operating system.
Other details have sneaked out too, with OnePlus confirming that, like the iPhone X, the OnePlus 6 will have a glass case.
Fans also expect the new phone to be the company’s first water-resistant device and to sport astonishingly tiny bezels.
A special Avengers edition of the OnePlus 6 will also be released, but unfortunately for UK fans that is allegedly set to be exclusively available in India.
The OnePlus 6 will be launched on May 16 ahead of being available at a range of pop-up stores - the only UK one to be in Shoreditch, east London, from May 21.
It is rumoured to retail for around £500 in the UK.

Redmi Note 5 Pro price in India has been hiked within a few months of its launch in the country. Xiaomi announced the new Redmi Note 5 price in India on Monday, saying it will be effective from Tuesday, May 1. It claims the Redmi Note 5 price hike is an effort to ramp up supply of the smartphone in the face of recent changes in PCBA import taxes and the depreciation of the rupee since the beginning of the year. The new prices will be effective on all channels the smartphone is available on, including Mi.com, Mi Home stores, Flipkart, and offline retailers.

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro price in India has been increased by Rs. 1,000, and the smartphone will now start at Rs. 14,999 for the 4GB RAM + 64GB variant. Alongside, the 55-inch Mi TV 4 has also received a price hike for the same reasons, effective from the same date. The 6GB RAM variant price remains the same as its Rs. 16,999 launch pricein February.
Making the announcement in a tweet on Monday, Xiaomi India MD Manu Kumar Jain added that the company will be honouring the Rs. 13,999 pre-orders already placed for the Redmi Note 5 Pro (Review) on Mi.com - an offer that was only started recently.
Jain provided further insight as to the reasons for the price hike, saying, "In order to ramp up supply for the Redmi Note 5 Pro, we are importing a significant amount of PCBAs as our local PCBA production would only ramp up to 100 percent by CY Q3 2018. With the recent changes in tax structure on PCBA imports and the depreciation of the rupee (by around 5 percent since the beginning of the year), this has resulted in a significant increase in costs for us."

The dual-SIM Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro runs MIUI 9 based on Android Nougat. It too sports a 5.99-inch full-HD (1080x2160 pixels) display with an 18:9 aspect ratio, 450-nit brightness, 83 percent NTSC colour gamut, and 2.5D curved glass. It is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 636 SoC, clocked at up to 1.8GHz, coupled with the Adreno 509 GPU and either 4GB or 6GB of RAM. It bears a fingerprint sensor on the rear panel.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro sports a dual rear camera setup, with the 12-megapixel primary sensor sporting an aperture of f/2.2 and a 1.25-micron pixel size, while the 5-megapixel secondary sensor has a f/2.0 aperture and 1.12-micron pixel size. The dual rear camera setup is accompanied by an LED flash module. On the front, it bears a 20-megapixel Sony IMX376 sensor complete with an LED selfie-light module and Beautify 4.0 beautification tech that's been optimised for India. Both front and rear cameras offer Portrait mode Bokeh effects. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro comes in a single storage variant - 64GB - which is expandable via microSD card in a hybrid dual-SIM format.
Connectivity options on the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth, 3.5mm headphone jack, and Micro-USB. It is powered by a 4000mAh battery that's rated to deliver up to 14 hours of continuous video playback, with 5V/2A fast charging. It measures 158.6x75.4x8.05mm and weighs 181 grams.

It was with the help of a few street kids that he made it to the hospital and still lives.  Just want to say that be smart and alert. India is a friendly place till you do not lose your common sense.
